The Mint Julep
I was in Vegas this weekend with friends and had the pleasure of watching the Derby there. It was fantastic. The one aspect where I was bitterly disappointed was the mint julep we all ordered. It just….was not good. At all. Anyways, I came across this great post over at Secret Forts about mint juleps and thought I would share. Some really great photos and a recipe link (which the bar in Vegas could certainly have used). It was a great Derby and I’m sure everyone is looking forward to the Preakness.

I had my first mint julep at churchill downs a few years ago…and it was also terrible. Maybe they’re just bad?
@MorganRose Nope! If made correctly, they are delicious. If you don’t care for bourbon then it may be difficult to like them
