I’d be remiss if I didn’t post something quick about Seth Wescott’s repeat Gold in Snowboard Cross yesterday in Vancouver. He’s from my home mountain in Maine so I was definitely screaming at the TV last night for him. It was a great race and if you missed it, definitely check out the video. I wanted to embed it, but it isn’t an option (grrrr….NBC).

WOW – that was a crazy race! I missed it last night, but just watched – amazing. I can’t believe that he made up that ground. Halfway through I was sure the leader was going to have to fall to lose it, but Wescott just powered through.
The only downside: what are those dudes doing wearing jeans? This is the Olympics, show some class.
@Zach – definitely a crazy race. I got a little too excited when he passed the guy in first. As for the jean thing….ugh….they’re not actually jeans, just snowboard pants that are made to look like jeans, which might even be worse than wearing jeans. They’re atrocious. Whoever made that decision should be let go.
